This makes it possible, for example, to insert<\/span> threads into thin sheet metal<\/b> or relatively soft metals such as aluminum. With these materials, there is always a risk with cut threads that the thread <\/span>will be damaged or completely torn out<\/b> during screwing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why press-fit instead of welding?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Welding techniques<\/span> are diverse in their application and are well suited for fastening all possible elements to sheet metal. Unfortunately, the welding process is also not always suitable for all materials <\/span>as it inevitably heats up the material, which is not desirable in certain cases<\/span>. In addition, it is laborious to achieve <\/span>accurate positioning<\/b> and a<\/span> firm connection<\/b> during welding. Press-fitting, on the other hand, is<\/span> energy efficient<\/b>, <\/span>clean<\/b>, and <\/span>precise<\/b>. The whole process is <\/span>simpler <\/b>and <\/span>easier to automate<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Press-fit technology is especially good for locking elements such as<\/span> bolts, pins, and nuts<\/b>. Press-fitting provides<\/span> extra stability<\/b> to these elements, as the displaced material spreads into grooves and other tight spaces, providing a <\/span>strong<\/b>, <\/span>load-bearing connection<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
